Dear Granite State News Collaborative supporter,
We wanted to take a minute to thank all of you for supporting The Granite State News Collaborative. From subscribing to our newsletter, to sharing your time and expertise, to donating to the cause — all of you made it possible to do what we’ve done this year.
Since March of 2020, The Granite State News Collaborative partners have shared more than 2,600 news stories with each other. Of those, Collaborative reporters have contributed more than 600 in-depth and investigative pieces that have included single stories, series and projects.
That means more people have more access to more news and information they need and can trust.
We know that when people have access to news and information about their towns, cities and state, they can hold the powerful accountable, advance solutions and work with one another to build the communities and future they want to see.
This year, in partnership with member outlets, we have tackled complex issues that our state faces through data-driven, solutions-focused reporting that provides not only information but context.
Through our environmental justice series, we’ve begun examining the health effects of environmental change on vulnerable communities and the work being done by locals looking to educate and assist the public.
We’ve started to peel back the layers of what contributes to the opportunity gaps for students in the Granite State.
We’re gathering data that will help us better understand policing in New Hampshire and potential solutions and improvements that may work here.
We’re also wrapping up a months-long investigation into the impacts of exclusionary zoning policies on everything from local business to affordable housing.
And we’re not done yet.
To ensure our reporters have the resources they need to do their jobs well, we are excited to announce that now through Dec. 31 we are launching a campaign to raise $15,000 to help fund our reporting projects in the new year.
If you’d like to support this effort, consider a donation (Click Here to Donate) or share this email with those who, like you, support keeping local journalism strong.
Thank you again for your support. We couldn’t do this without you.
Best,
Melanie Plenda
