The resilience that many Girls Inc. of New Hampshire members learn from the organization’s leaders was on full display April 17, when the organization hosted its annual gala virtually in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Girls Inc. partnered with Event United at Studio Lab for the event, raising $175,000 to support the organization’s mission and its programs.

Funds raised will be used for remote programming for the rest of the school year, to support members and their families with food and supplies, as financial assistance when both centers in Manchester and Nashua reopen, and to provide scholarships for girls to attend summer camp and afterschool programs.

Girls Inc.’s center-based and community-based programs address critical areas, such as math and science education, pregnancy and drug abuse prevention, media and economic literacy, adolescent health, violence prevention, careers and leadership, and participation in sports.
